An open letter to those who care about Oregon public education

Amidst the negativity surrounding Oregon’s K-12 public education system, some important opportunities are getting lost:

1. A bold, attainable vision in which Oregon is a national leader in ten years- where young people are thriving in school and in life, equipped for their future with an excellent public education.

2. A statewide, systemwide plan of action that gets us there.

3. Real talk about how we got here- where Oregon spends more than most states per student but gets worse outcomes.
